With purity and simplicity at the core of its manifesto, Q’s design needed to match the care, creativity, and craft of Chef Hiroyuki Naruke’s cuisine. Brown Design Group encircled the sushi bar with hundreds of glowing orbs, drawing eyes to Chef Hiro’s culinary artwork at center stage. Suspended midair from the undulating wood ceiling, the orb chandeliers bring a taste of modernity alongside commissioned artwork and Japanese artifacts. Brown Design Group integrated contemporary Japanese Zaisu chairs – a modern twist on a traditional form – paired with tables that feature centuries-old joinery techniques. Q’s 26-seat dining room offers guests a subtle yet elegant setting to enjoy Chef Hiro’s impressive menus.
