Still Life House

Family Home by Untitled Design Agency in Vancouver, CA

The Still Life house is Untitled Design Agency's interpretation of a character home. This interior renovation project balances traditional architecture with modern timelessness. The design execution speaks a modern language, and the interior environment was a practice of restraint, referencing time-honoured materials such as limestone and fir woods. The Still Life house, like its name implies, is defined by idyllic vignettes that capture a palpable calm.

In keeping with a time-honoured material palette, several pieces of vintage furniture collected by the homeowner is found throughout the house. Collectible pieces include items by George Nakashima, Hans Wegner, Charlotte Perriand, Poul Kjaerholm, and Norman Cherner, to name a few.
