The Bowery

Restaurant by Assembly Design Studio in Boston, MA

This eclectic redesign of an existing restaurant was a fun and whimsical design build. The owners and ADS worked together in sourcing various architectural salvage elements and vintage light fixtures to create a bar that felt like it had been there for over 100 years. Reclaimed bleachers were turned into table tops, church pews were converted to banquettes and antique sewing machines were turned into table bases, plaster walls were added for texture and a mix of fabrics and prints helped make this place feel layered and lived in.
