Tonalities of Light

With a brief to create a warm family residence, The Blainey North Team experimented with the tonalities of natural light to create a sophisticated chic new aesthetic.

Curating a contemporary collection of modern-art and custom furniture, the classic architecture of the home has been revitalised to represent the youth of its occupiers and a new movement of interior design. Simplistic in its essence, the planning of the home allowed for cohesive living spaces that naturally progressed from formal to informal, traditional to innovative. Central to the zoning of the building, the kitchen is a central aspect of the residence incorporating a mass of Carrara Marble matched with classic white joinery to create an understated elegance.

Subtle hints of glamour are referenced throughout furnishings such as the bronze Master Bedroom side tables, emphasising bold geometry within a simplistic form. The staircase which acts as a sculptural piece between the old and new is further connected by a hand-crafted pendant, which anchors the void space.
