UES Redesign with a Pooch-Proof Plan
Overlooking iconic Central Park, this project was commissioned by a widow starting over, whose beloved but destructive dog had previously wreaked havoc on her home’s furnishings. The design challenge was clear: to create a space that could withstand the wear and tear of an active pet while maintaining an elegant, contemporary aesthetic. Vicente Wolf embraced this challenge with his signature flair, masterfully blending pieces from the 1950s to the present day, creating a timeless and harmonious environment. The apartment features custom pieces that reflect the homeowner's taste and sophistication, as well as an impressive fine art collection that adds depth and personality to the space. The juxtaposition of modern design elements with classic pieces creates a unique and inviting atmosphere, where every room tells a story. "Designing for real life doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice beauty," said Vicente Wolf. "This project was about creating a home that is both functional and stunning, a place where the homeowner and her dog can live comfortably without worrying about damage."
