Uptown Traditional

This new residence is located in one of San Antonio’s most established communities. The clients, a couple with teenage daughters, wanted an elegant and sophisticated home that could withstand the rigors of family life, constant entertaining and several dogs. We kept the strongly architectural spaces neutral and filled them with a freshly gathered collection of new, vintage, and antique furniture, fabrics, and decorative objects. The formality of the dining room’s English Regency table surrounded by Louis XVI style chairs, or the sitting room’s symmetrical arrangement of French Empire bergères and 18th century Italian gilt mirrors, is balanced by the ease of the den’s comfortable sofa and armchairs or the kitchen’s bluestone table and French bistro chairs.
