Antique 19th Century Georgian Revival Pair of Inlaid Mahogany Cellarettes

Antique 19th Century Georgian Revival Pair of Inlaid Mahogany Cellarettes

Located in Wisbech, England

Antique 19th Century Georgian Revival Pair of Inlaid Mahogany Cellarettes - Cupboards Cabinets This fine quality pair of Georgian Revival inlaid mahogany cellarettes dates to the late 19th century and is stamped by the renowned maker, Gillows. These elegant pieces combine functionality with exquisite craftsmanship, making them a rare and desirable find for collectors or interior settings. Craftsmanship One cellarette features a galvanized liner for white wine, while the other is designed for red wine without a liner. Both are solidly constructed with no loose joints or signs of woodworm. The inlaid mahogany detailing and period ormolu brass castors add decorative appeal. Condition Both pieces are in good antique condition, showing minor historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, and imperfections consistent with age. The red wine cellarette has no lock, later hinges and a historic crack in the lid (stabilized, glued, and filled). Some wear to the ormolu brass castors evident, which is typical for pieces of this period. Dimensions Overall maximum: 55 cm W x 41 cm D x 64 cm H Internal galvanized bucket...
