The Beginning of Autumn, Original oil Painting, Ready to Hang

By Ivan Shapoval

Located in Granada Hills, CA

Artist: Shapoval Ivan Leontyevich Work: Original oil painting, handmade artwork, one of a kind Medium: Oil on Cardboard Style: Impressionism Year: 1988 Title: The Beginning of Autumn Size: 17.5" x 23.5" x 0.2'' inch, (45x60x1 cm) Unframed, "The Beginning of Autumn" is an exquisite oil painting that captures the serene beauty of nature in a captivating landscape. The canvas depicts a scene bathed in the soft, golden hues of the transitioning season. The foreground presents a verdant expanse, where a narrow path meanders through a lush green field. The path, gently trodden and inviting, serves as a gateway into the enchanting depths of the surrounding woodland. The artist's skilled brushwork brings the abundant foliage to life, with numerous trees dotting the field. Majestic oaks, graceful birches, and vibrant maples stand tall and proud, their branches intertwining to form a natural canopy. Their leaves, still predominantly verdant but hinting at the first touches of autumnal transformation, exhibit a medley of vibrant greens, yellows, and oranges, evoking the sense of impending change. Above this idyllic scene, the sky stretches out in all its vastness. The artist has masterfully blended soft hues of white and blue, creating a serene atmosphere that envelops the entire composition. Fluffy white clouds drift lazily across the heavens, accentuating the tranquility of the setting and adding a sense of depth to the painting. "The Beginning of Autumn" is a title that perfectly encapsulates the essence of this artwork. It encapsulates the moment when nature's palette begins to shift, heralding the onset of fall. The painting invites viewers to embark on a journey along the path, exploring the captivating beauty of the transitioning landscape. It evokes a sense of anticipation and reflection, capturing the fleeting yet magical essence of this time of year. By Ivan Shapoval

Located in Granada Hills, CA

Artist: Shapoval Ivan Leontyevich Work: Original oil painting, handmade artwork, one of a kind Medium: Oil on Cardboard Style: Impressionism Year: 2008 Title: Ryabushki Village and Church Size: 16.5" x 24.5" x 0.2'' inch, (41x62x3 cm) Unframed, "Ryabushki Village and Church" is a captivating oil painting that beautifully captures the essence of a serene landscape. The composition centers around a church that stands prominently in the foreground, with signs of ongoing construction evident. The artist skillfully portrays the architectural details of the church, showcasing its partially completed walls and scaffolding, indicating a work in progress. Surrounding the church, verdant green trees gracefully frame the scene, their lush foliage adding a touch of vibrancy and life to the composition. The carefully rendered trees create a sense of depth and invite the viewer to explore the painting further. The sky, portrayed in a soft palette of whites, exudes a tranquil ambiance, providing a calm backdrop to the architectural elements and nature. The simplicity of the white sky allows the viewer to focus their attention on the central subject, the church, and the harmonious interaction between man-made structures and the natural world. The overall atmosphere of the painting is one of stillness and anticipation, capturing a moment in time when a village church is undergoing its transformation. The title, "Ryabushki Village and Church," hints at the rural setting, inviting viewers to imagine the quaint and idyllic village that the church is nestled within. With masterful brushwork, the artist has created a captivating landscape that balances the beauty of nature with the human endeavor of constructing a sacred space. "Ryabushki Village and Church" invites viewers to contemplate the passage of time, the intersection of tradition and progress, and the inherent beauty found in the convergence of man and nature. Artist: Shapoval Ivan Leontyevich Work: Original oil painting, handmade artwork, one of a kind Medium: Oil on Cardboard Style: Impressionism Year: 2006 Title: Roses Size: 22.5" x 17.5" x 0.''8 inch, (57x45x2 cm) Unframed, "Roses" is a captivating oil painting that beautifully captures the essence of a classic still life. Set against a subdued, yet striking grey background, the focal point of the artwork is a lush arrangement of vibrant red roses, exuding elegance and allure. The artist has skillfully portrayed the delicate petals of the roses, meticulously capturing their velvety texture and intricate details. Each blossom appears to be in various stages of bloom, showcasing the ephemeral nature of life and the passing of time. The roses are elegantly arranged in a graceful green vase, adding a refreshing burst of color to the composition. The artist has paid careful attention to the vase, with its gentle curves and subtle variations in hue, lending a sense of realism and depth to the painting. The contrast between the radiant red roses and the cool grey backdrop creates a visually captivating effect, enhancing the prominence of the floral arrangement. The grey background, while muted, provides a neutral and harmonious setting that allows the vibrant roses to take center stage. The painting "Roses" is a celebration of nature's beauty and serves as a timeless reminder of the fragility and transience of life. Through its masterful use of color, composition, and attention to detail, this oil painting invites viewers to immerse themselves in the serenity and elegance of a classic still life.
