A Vanitas reflecting on ancient royal entombment as man’s vain attempt to remain immortal by being buried with ones treasures. I wanted the sculpture to represent the encasing of mind, body and soul as entombed sexual energy, preserved among the ruins of life. The sculpture symbolizes how ones sexual energy is at the core of their being and how it can transcend beyond the grave for others pleasure and satisfaction.

The ornate wrought iron pattern on the shaft is reflective of Casanova's gateway to pleasure and my use of rich yellow gold, diamonds and pearl was to add treasure to the memory of this passionate man and his famous legacy of love.”
