Sujoon - Cornflower Portal - Large Lightweight Three-Dimensional Wall Sculpture
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Atticus Adams' organically composed modern metal sculptures embody the transformative power of contemporary art, illustrating the creation of beauty, meaning, and emotional impact from industrial materials. Using mostly aluminum mesh—generally found in screen doors, windows, and filters—he creates contemporary abstract sculptural artworks and installations, which resemble flowers, clouds, and other natural phenomena. Working in metal, Adams effortlessly transforms rigid material into airy, effervescent artworks.
This 48-inch high by 44-inch wide and 4-inch deep metal sculpture is a lightweight form. It is created from aluminum and copper mesh, gesso, acrylic paint, and wire. It has metal rings affixed on the back which allows for easy installation. Atticus works spontaneously, feeling his way toward the objects that take shape in his mind as he shapes them almost entirely by hand. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Atticus grew up in West Virginia, steeped in traditional folk art. Several members of his family are self-taught artists, deeply involved in such crafts as wood carving and quilting. His formal art training includes stints at Yale, Rhode Island School of Design, and Harvard’s School of Architecture. Atticus has fond summer memories of screened-in porches back home and screen doors that practically dissolved the barrier between inside and outside, allowing the warmth and nature to permeate each day. This association continues to resonate in his art.
“Metal mesh is a beautiful, flexible material that allows you to explore shadow and transparency in endless ways,” he says. “The material lends itself to these biomorphic shapes, which aren’t necessarily intentional . . . The sculptures seem fragile but are actually quite resilient—like nature itself.”
A well-known sculptor, the organically inspired artworks of Atticus Adams are held in public and private collections and are exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States.

"Huron (Great Lakes), " Mixed Media on Wood Panel, 2023
Located in Chicago, IL
This abstract work by Chicago artist Patrick Fitzgerald is one of a series of “track paintings” that materialize the imagined tracks navigated by his miniature soap-box car sculptures. Inspired by slot-car racetracks, each painting depicts a meandering, yet cyclical path that twists and turns upon itself in an endless loop. Isolated from time and place, the painting achieves a sense of timelessness and draws a through line linking the past, the present, and the future.
Entitled "Huron," this track painting is one of five compositions inspired by the Great Lakes...

Snakish (Curvy Abstract Minimalist Encaustic Wall Sculpture in Black and White)
Located in Hudson, NY
Abstract minimalist three-dimensional wall sculpture in black and white
"Snakish II", made by Hudson Valley artist, Donise English, in 2022
hand-stitched paper, beeswax (encaustic) and thread
36 x 10 x 3 inches
hangs with a small thread notch on back
extremely lightweight, weighs no more than 1.5 lbs.
Excellent condition and ready to hang
This abstract minimalist three-dimensional wall sculpture was made by Hudson Valley artist, Donise English, in 2022. The playful motif of hand-stitched paper, layered with black and white acrylic paint and coated with encaustic, is inspired by the artist's interest in architecture and blueprint drawings. The winding segments of white and black encaustic layered paper are assembled in a curving, snake-like formation, which are then hand-sewn by the artist. The lightweight wall sculpture hangs with a small thread notch, installed by the artist on the back of the piece.
About the artist:
Donise English is a Poughkeepsie-based artist who received her MFA from Bard College and is currently a Professor of Studio Art at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.Donise English has received numerous awards including a 2018 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Painting; the Invitational Award for Outstanding Contemporary Talent from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Purchase Prize from the “11th National Juried Exhibition” at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland; 1st Prize, “Women in the Visual Arts,” Erector Square Gallery, New Haven, Connecticut; the Joseph A. Cain Memorial Purchase Award for Sculpture, Del Mar College, Texas, Honorable Mention; and others.
Artist Statement:
I am interested in drawing and collaging multiple layers of information that refer abstractly to maps, architectural drawings and blueprints or patterns and structures found in such things as roller coasters, power lines and fences. I use gouache and collaged paper in a series of layers that are a visual and ideological response to the previous layer to define my pictorial space. For each piece I create a set of rules to follow about the use of a limited palette, a grid format, opacity of paper and whether a piece may include curving lines or maintain a rectilinear structure.

Untitled- Composition 1975
By Senen Ubiña
Located in New York, NY
This compelling abstract painting was realized by the esteemed Spanish Painter, Senen Ubina, circa 1975. It features a square brass plate with demilune forms cut out of the center. The plate has been painted in a rich aubergine hue exhibiting a rich impasto. A wire traverses the negative space in the center, continuing outwards on either side in a painted line. Streamlined forms in dove grey protrude from each side, while arch-like forms in slate gray frame the central plate on top and bottom. Inspire by minimalism and trompe l'oiel, this piece offers a subtle palate and dynamic composition, making it as visually compelling as it is versatile. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. The piece comes with its original poster announcing Ubina's exhibition from Genesis Galleries, as well as letters from Ubina's dealer to broadcast journalist Barbara Walters...

By David Jang
Located in Los Angeles, CA
David Jang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1975 and received his BFA from the College of Visual Arts, St. Paul, Minnesota, where he studied sculpture and painting. He lives in Los Angeles. Jang strives to transform the detritus of urban life into minimalist paintings of formal elegance, both gritty and sublime. He hopes to inspire others to discover art as a necessity to the human condition, not a luxury.
David Jang’s work utilizes materials and object-making to articulate the countervailing forces inherent in the everyday—expansion and contraction, perfection and imperfection, force and balance, have and have not.
Jang’s process can be described as an exacting, fanciful, even obsessive re-appropriation of common materials—one in which he deconstructs, rerograms and reconstitutes industrial and commercial cast-offs to reveal new relationships between the object and the viewer. Most people know the media he uses in their ubiquitous forms—as a potato chip bag, a remote control, plastic jar, Styrofoam cup, coiled wire, light bulbs, et cetera—but coded also into each of these objects (and the materials from which they are composed) are its life’s instructions.
David Jang describes his process: “As I examine the continuum of the objects, I begin to discover the hidden subtexts and hierarchies these objects uphold—the social orders they sustain or subvert and the relationships they facilitate or fail. I attempt to foster a self-revelatory creative process, one that is empirical yet open-ended. In this way my work results, not in forced conversation, but in quasi-scientific discovery.”
This sculpture is made from potato chip bags attached to chicken wire with binder clips. A certificate of authenticity is included.
