Bartolomucci was an Italian painter who became one of the founders of Astralism. He moved to New York in 1960 where he remained for two years and worked from a studio at Carnegie Hall. He painted a scene of the first moon landing during his time in New York (preceding the actual event by almost 10 years) which was exhibited in Washington D.C. and later acquired by John F. Kennedy.
