Pfahl 1a - Klaus Staudt white contemporary modern abstract geometric wall relief
Located in Doetinchem, NL
Collectors Item! Pfahl 1a is a contemporary modern painting relief by renowned German artist Klaus Staudt. The relief is made from meticulously cut polystyrol elements that are mounted on both sides of a plexiglass divider inside a box frame. The box frame itself is also covered with a plexiglass front, protecting the entire structure against dust. Because of the plexiglass divider, the polystyrol elements more or less seem to float inside the frame. Changing ambient light (morning sun, cloudy sky) causes changes in the intensity of the relief. Furthermore, different viewing angles result in totally different relief patterns. This particular work is the first from an edition of fifteen. This work comes from a private collection and is a rare opportunity for collectors to obtain one of this artist's earlier relief works. Must have for anyone with interest in the European Concrete...
