Photographed in London, 2003, celebrating the Bafta awards and UK talent.
Celebrity photographer, Lorenzo Agius, is renowned for his unique, intimate and often comical portraits of the 'stars'. The photographer shot to great prominence following his seminal images from the 1996 groundbreaking British film, Trainspotting.
Agius has had a colourful affair with 'celebrity' over the past two decades. Expertly capturing the character and individuality of each of his sitters, Agius' images flaunt stylistic brilliance and bubble with personality.
From Madonna to Margot Robbie, Agius' body of work portrays the varying and often polar characters of major icons. He tunes into the creativity of his subjects and successfully reflects the mood of the moment; the results are natural, accessible and in each case reflect the artist's eye for light, composition and a strong imagination for narrative.
Whether it be celebrating British culture or capturing the sleek, Hollywood look, Agius' personality is intrinsic to his photographs; the mood is always light and refreshing and humour is ever present.
Six of Agius' iconic works are part of the permanent collection at the National Portrait Gallery, London. The artist has been an Ambassador for Canon Cameras since 2008 and has exhibited at The Getty Gallery, London alongside other notable exhibitions in Moscow, Paris, Cannes and the UAE.

Yasenia
By Hunt Slonem
Located in Fort Lauderdale, FL
Inspired by nature and his 60 pet birds, Hunt Slonem is renowned for his distinct neo-expressionist style. He is best known for his series of bunnies, butterflies and tropical birds, as well as his large-scale sculptures and restorations of forgotten historic homes. Slonem’s works can be found in the permanent collections of 250 museums around the world, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Whitney, the Miro Foundation and the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Since his first solo show at the Fischbach Gallery in 1977, Slonem’s work has been showcased internationally hundreds of times, most recently at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. In 2017 and 2018, he was featured by the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Gallery in Bulgaria, and in countless galleries across the United States and around the world.
His flair and admiration for far-flung destinations has been a staple of his life since childhood. Slonem was born in 1951 in Kittery, Maine, and his father’s position as a Navy officer meant the family moved often during Hunt’s formative years, including extended stays in Hawaii, California and Connecticut. He would continue to seek out travel opportunities throughout his young-adult years, studying abroad in Nicaragua and Mexico; these eye-opening experiences imbued him with an appreciation for tropical landscapes that would influence his unique style.
After graduating with a degree in painting and art history from Tulane University in New Orleans, Slonem spent several years in the early 1970s living in Manhattan. It wasn’t until Janet Fish offered him her studio for the summer of 1975 that Slonem was able to fully immerse himself in his work. His pieces began getting exhibited around New York, propelling his reputation and thrusting him into the city’s explosive contemporary arts scene. He received several prestigious grants, including from Montreal’s Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Cultural Counsel Foundation’s Artist Project, for which he painted an 80-foot mural of the World Trade Center in the late 1970s. He also received an introduction to the Marlborough Gallery, which would represent him for 18 years.
Hunt Slonem tends to embrace the ephemeral beauty of nature, a characteristic that brings a nurturing, spiritual effect to his creations. Throughout his extensive career as a New York artist, Slonem has favored the subject of exotic birds, rabbits, and butterflies. Lately, his compositions have consisted of flat spaces with simple forms pushed to the front of the picture plane. The artist creates exotic forms with expressive and highly textural brushstrokes that are full of intense color, loosely inspired by artists of the German Expressionism movement such as Ernst Ludwig and Emil Nolde. Henry Geldzahler, a scholar of Hunt Slonem, notes that of contemporary artists, “he particularly admires the work of Malcolm Morely...

David Yarrow Photograph "The Dogfather" on Nantucket Island
By David Yarrow
Located in Greenwich, CT
"The Dogfather"
Nantucket, USA 2022
Digital Pigment Print on Archival 315gsm Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta Paper
This work was sourced directly from the artist.
The Brotherhood of Thieves, on the tiny old whaling island of Nantucket, is as good a bar as any we know in America from which to tell old stories - and we know quite a few. The ambient light from the window is powerful enough to remove the need for a gaffer and this is such a help when trying to tell tales with a sense of place. The detail in the dog’s face is all lit from the window and this effect lends a sense of timeless drama. This picture could have been taken 50 or 100 years ago rather than April 2022.
Mastiff dogs are among some of the oldest breeds known to humans and were among the first canines to accompany humans on their migrations across the globe. More importantly, for the purpose of this role, their faces have a rather majestic human countenance allowing me to build stories around them. We have worked with many breeds over the years, but for this kind of work, Mastiffs are in a league of their own...

'Relaxing Dancer' Contemporary figurative Bronze sculpture of a Ballerina
Located in Shrewsbury, Shropshire
'Relaxing Dancer' by Benson Landes is a stunning 21st Century Solid Bronze Nude Figurative Ballet Dancer.
For Benson Landes, sculpture was most definitely a passion. His oeuvre of cast bronzes is populated with ‘off duty’ ballet dancers, rather wistful women, often caught in moments of solitary repose. Such an obvious appreciation of the grace and elegance of the female form was, no doubt, heightened by 25 years spent in the couture business, which Benson entered at the age of 14. The sculptor admitted that his time as an apprentice at his father’s clothing workroom and factory was given rather reluctantly, as he always harbored desires to become an artist. The young boy’s sense of responsibility was clearly equal to his creativity, though, as Benson knuckled down and learned the family trade.
At the age of 18, however, a 2 year conscription to the RAF provided one of the few opportunities for Benson to experience artistic freedom. The possibilities of otherwise unobtainable materials such as pastels, paper, perspex and plaster of paris fuelled his ingenuity at the base’s well-stocked workshop.
On completion of his RAF service, Benson briefly returned to the clothing factory now owned by his father. After his marriage to Ruth at 21, in an effort to provide for his new wife, Benson decided to set up his own business. Starting with a single sewing machine and tailoress, Benson and Ruth soon expanded the business. By the 1970s they employed over 50 staff and supplied to prestigious stores such as Dickens & Jones and Harrods.
As the decade progressed, however, fashion turned towards less structured, more casual garments; a trend that prompted Benson to retire and spend time with his first love, sculpture. Buoyed by the liberty he enjoyed in his studio, Benson succeeded in selling some of his first pieces of sculpture, a collection of sporting trophies...
