"S2M" Photography (FRAMED) 44" x 44" inch Edition of 10 by Giuliano Bekor
Located in Culver City, CA
"S2M" Photography (FRAMED) 44" x 44" inch Edition of 10 by Giuliano Bekor "S2M" from SCULPT series Original photography by Giuliano Bekor 44" x 44" inch Edition of 10 Archival pigment print mounted on dibond Custom frame comes with non reflective museum glass Signed and numbered by the artist. Comes with COA issues by the artist. SCULPT series The body is a vessel for the soul. The movement of every muscle – a hand position, an arch in the back, the nape of a neck – reveals the innermost continuum of the spirit. Together, lines and sinew form an emotional narrator. Using contrast, texture, and the language of the human body, this collection exposes the intersection of physical and non-physical, the marriage of tactile and ethereal. ABOUT THE ARTIST Internationally recognized photographer, Giuliano Bekor, holds a portfolio that includes work from the realms of fashion, beauty, celebrity, advertising, and fine art. Giuliano’s photography has been featured in top publications around the globe, and his client list includes an endless file of beauty industry leaders, advertising agencies, celebrities, producers, and artists. With 30 years in the industry, Giuliano has perfected his craft to an exceptional level of expertise. Composed of light, color, space and form, Giuliano brings ideas conceptualized in his own imagination into reality throughout his work. Currently living between New York and Los Angeles, Giuliano is often on the move traveling for work and inspiration. Always the restless visionary, he ceases to continually express his fresh and nuanced style. For Giuliano Bekor, a photograph is an image that comes into being consciously, composed of light, color, space and form. Like a painter, he sketches, refining ideas through pen and pencil well before the shutter clicks. A camera is strictly a means to an end, a way of making a palpable visual record of an idea that gestates in his mind, gains shape by his hand, and resolves through his eye as it peers through the lens. His subject is the human body, almost always nude. These images delve into the splendor of the body - how it can express the inner meaning of who we are. Limbs, torsos, muscles and bones are exposed as though carved out of a supple, glowing stone that flexes and twists. Many of these photographs feature subjects posed with the eyes obscured, the face covered. If we look closely, Bekor says, we can see that the body is as much a window into the soul as the eyes. This is a gallery of the soul etched into the forms we assume in the physical world. Through exaggerated contrast between light and dark, smooth and textured, vaporous and tactile, Giuliano deliberately filters the extraneous. The camera captures the image, but for Bekor each exposure is a transformation - of himself, his subjects, and us. He is digging into uneasy turf, fraught with tension: masculine/feminine, heroic/cowardly, shameless/shameful, eternal/fleeting. The intensity of detail, the fiercely exquisite perfection of the bodies themselves, the unflinching, scrupulous engagement of the lens, negates all pretense of politeness. Confronted, we are summoned to look. So we must. And we do. And we experience the beautiful human forms we inhabit and the silent, eloquent language they speak. EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHTS Giuliano Bekor’s most recent fine art photography solo shows include: 2019 - March Lips The cool HeArt gallery...

Brigitte LUSTENBERGER (*1969, Switzerland) Not titled yet, from the series 'A Gaze of One's Own‘, 2021 Silver gelatin print on Baryta paper Sheet 70 x 70 cm (27 1/2 x 27 1/2 in.) Edition of 5, plus 2 AP; Edn. no. 1/5 print only Born in Zurich, Switzerland, Brigitte studied at Zurich University and received her MA in Social and Photo History in 1996. In the following years she established herself as an fine art photographer. She moved to New York and received her MFA in Fine Art Photography and Related Media at Parsons The New School of Design in 2007. The main issues in her works lie in her interest in the study of the gaze, the interplay between absence and presence in a photographic image, and the fact that the reading of a photograph is most often triggered by a collective memory. She explores the media itself and its close connection to themes like decay, memory, death and transitoriness. Brigitte Lustenberger has shown nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. She had Solo Shows at the Museée de l’Elysée in Lausanne/Switzerland, at Walter Keller’s Scalo Gallery in Zurich and New York, at Le Maillon...

"Light Whispers", Frederick Hart, Acrylic Sculpture, 17x12x5 in., 182/350, white
Located in Dallas, TX
"Light Whispers" Dimensions: 17" x 12" x 5" Medium: Clear Acrylic Resin Edition 182/300 Frederick Hart's "Light Whispers" is the perfect name for this lucite sculpture that studies translucency's impact on the interplay of shadow and light. The nude woman subject is repeated several times, with varying degrees of revelation. In some iterations, she is shrouded in mystery, while other representations show her on full display with remarkable detail. Thanks to his impeccable eye for detail and technical precision, Frederick Hart is considered one of the world's foremost figurative sculptors. His classical techniques make for timeless, traditional works, but the innovative and modern use of lucite as a material help modernize the work. Frederick Hart's "Light Whispers" is signed by the artist and includes a gallery certificate of authenticity. It is from an edition of 300 and the current gallery retail price for the piece is over $16,000. About Frederick Hart As one of America’s greatest representational artists, Frederick Hart left a lasting and unique mark in the world of modern sculpture. Born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1943, he studied at the University of South Carolina and after protesting alongside black students during the Civil rights movement, he moved to Washington D.C. to continue his studies at the Corcoran School of Art. Fascinated with the human figure and the classical approach, he started developing his career in 1966 as a stone carver apprentice at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. Leaving the Cathedral in 1971, Hart started his own studio practice but had little success in the first years. In 1974, he was awarded the project by the Cathedral to create a contemporary interpretation of The Creation, an event that would change his life. Soon, Hart’s career took a turn for the better, and in the upcoming decades, he rose to national prominence, becoming a government art advisor in 1985 and receiving the prestigious Henry Hering...
