Amphora Vandeweghe

Ceramic vase designed by the Belgian artist Rogier Vandeweghe (1923) and executed by Amphora, his own ceramic workshop located in Brugges (B).

His Brutalist style of work strongly reminisces the work of the contemporary Belgium ceramists Rogier Vandeweghe (Perignem Amphora) and Oswald Tieberhien (Eeklo).

Dewaele had begun the 1960s working at Rogier Vandeweghe’s Amphora atelier near Bruges, Belgium, experimenting with innovative glazing treatments and firing techniques.
