19th century French garden cloche. Made from green glass and was used in gardens to protect plants from Frost.

They are irregular in size and shape and the top knobs are "knocked off" as was the practice by gardeners so that the cloche could be safely stacked in the garden shed.

We've taken antique handblown green glass garden cloches (this one is a bell cloche) and transformed them into wonderful lighting fixtures.
