This patch box is part of our large collection of antique Bilston and Battersea boxes. Patch boxes were used for holding beauty marks.

The extraordinary neoclassical painting is very much in the style of the "Sevres" factory (but not attributed to them). Bilston & Battersea made boxes/cases such as this one.
