In 1780 he was named as designer to the Comte de Provence (the future Louis XVIII) and helped to redecorate the Château de Brunoy (just southeast of Paris).

His furniture is included in the collections of the Chateau de Morlanne, and Vendeuvre, the Chateau Royal de Wawel, Krakow and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bernay.

It was very popular at the time, and is still found in many fine French residences, including in the Château de Chantilly.
