1950s barrel back swivel chair designed by Henry P. Glass for J.G. Furniture. This chair features a beautiful barrel back, accentuated with channel tufting.

Reed & Barton was originally founded as Babbitt & Crossma in Taunton, Massachusetts in 1824--with the company later purchased by Henry G. Reed and business partner Charles E. Barton.

The piece is fully hallmarked with the maker’s mark of Henry Wilkinson & Co (Sheffield, England), assayed and stamped at the Sheffield Assay Office in 1879.
