Mid-Century Modern French Ceramic Platter by Albert Thiry, 1960s, era Blin One beautiful glazed ceramic platter with an engraved and hand-painted blue thistle flower bud. We find the vocabulary of preference of the ceramist: a chalky white background, both bright and neutral to highlight the blue flower and foliage, the edge is also engraved with decorative motifs. In very good condition. Signed under the base. Circa 1960. ----------- Albert Thiry (1923-2009) Ceramist from Nice, he studied at the School of Decorative Arts in the city.
