Armand Cacheux, born in Geneva on September 26, 1868 and died on November 27, 1965 in Bernex, is a Swiss engraver and painter.
He is the grandfather of the painter François Cacheux.
Armand Cacheux made paintings, woodcuts and advertising and fashion designs, also illustrations, posters and bookplates. After studying at the Geneva School of Fine Arts (student of Barthélemy Menn and Hugues Bovy) and at the Geneva School of Industrial Arts. He stayed in Paris from 1890 to 1902. In 1903, he married Catherine Florentine Lucienne Chasteau (1872-1942), journalist, art critic and writer who published under the pseudonym of Lucienne Florentin between 1909 and 1941 for the daily La Suisse in Geneva. He made trips to Germany, England and Italy. He paints portraits, nudes, genre scenes and landscapes. From 1903, he was a professor at the School of Industrial Arts in Geneva.to
