Each component has an oval rounded form to a plain oval collet foot.
The lower portions of the teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl are embellished with embossed fluted ornamentation.
The flared upper rim of the cream jug and sugar bowl, and shoulders of the teapot are ornamented with an impressive applied gadroon decorated border.
The large teapot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover, which features further embossed convex fluted decoration.
The cover is surmounted by the original carved oval fluted painted wood and sterling silver finial.

This exceptional antique Victorian six piece sterling silver tea service / set consists of a spirit kettle, teapot, coffee pot, cream jug, sugar bowl and tea caddy.
The pieces of this antique tea and coffee set have a circular baluster shaped form.
This set benefits from a matching oval cylindrical tea caddy; often with time such a piece would be detached from a service.
The surface of each piece is embellished with alternating horizontal panels of impressive chased simplified trellis patterns, leaf motifs and rosette designs.
The upper rim of each piece is encompassed with an applied moulded decorated border.

The pieces of this tea and coffee service have a plain oval rounded form.
The lower portion each piece is embellished with an embossed fluted design.
The flared upper rim of the coffee pot, cream jug, sugar bowl and tea caddy are ornamented with an impressive gadroon border accented with a shell and scroll design to each corner.
