Cristina Díaz Art

Spanish, b. 1972
Cristina Díaz was born in Sevilla (Spain) in 1972, the city where she graduated in Fine Arts and where she currently lives. Cristina Díaz's pictorial creation focuses on the study of landscape. A lover of plein air painting, she is interested in the aesthetics of the changing, the continuous changes of light, colour and form in the landscape, which mean that the same instant has infinite ways of being represented, depending on when and how it is looked at. The painter Cristina Díaz uses a reduced palette, in which earth colours and washed out tones predominate. She finds special inspiration in natural landscapes, marshes, rivers and fields, where she does not hesitate to set up her studio area to work from life. He has won numerous national and international prizes and awards and his works can be found in private collections in Spain and other European countries.
