Dimitri Turnava is a Georgian artist born in 2004 from Borjomi who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. With a deep passion for exploring the human experience through art. He studied graphic design and illustration at the Design and Print Academy in Tbilisi, which provided him with a solid background in visual storytelling. While he works with various mediums, including oil and acrylic paints, his favorite medium is oil pastels, he finds them perfect for capturing rich, expressive colors and textures. His work primarily focuses on portraits, people, and landscapes. He is deeply influenced by expressionism, post impressionism and fauvism, styles that emphasize bold, vibrant colors and emotional portrayals over realistic depictions. Additionally, he draws inspiration from Georgian art, incorporating traditional patterns, symbols, and cultural elements into his pieces. Each piece, he creates is an exploration of life, memories, and emotions, especially those tied to the past. Dorit Levi was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1952, her Yemenite upbringing and culture playing an important role in her art. Her talent enabled her to study at the prestigious Wizo France Art School in her native city, where she had the great fortune to learn from one of Israel's greatest artists, Edwin Salomon. The artist's personal experiences in Uganda, Africa where she lived for several years, are reflected in many of her paintings. The vast savannas translate into the warm colors of backdrops, and the flow and movement of her vibrant figures are inspired by Uganda's colorful markets and the people in embroidered garb. Dorit's works are remarkable in her use of gold leaf and the enormous attention to detail and complex composition.
