Lucien Victor Guirand de Scevola Biography View full artist profile Guirand de Scévola was a student of Cormon at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris. He then became a committee member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he also exhibited. He became an officer of the Légion d'Honneur in 1914. Making rigorous accuracy his main concern, he had a brilliant career as a society portrait artist. As such, his works became widely known.
