An magnificent, fine and impressive, large antique Victorian English sterling silver spirit kettle made by Barnard & Sons Ltd, an addition to our antique silver teaware collection. This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle has a six paneled urn shaped form onto a hexagonal paneled spreading pedestal foot. The surface to this large spirit kettle is embellished with exceptional bright cut engraved foliate festoons incorporating quatrefoil leaf motifs and suspended from rosette designs to each edge. The decoration to the body incorporates two oval cartouches, one of which remains vacant. The cartouche to the anterior surface is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of an antelope's head couped, charged on the neck with four mullets in cross, and holding in the mouth a rose, slipped and leaved, displayed below the motto 'Nil extra numerum'- Nothing is beyond reckoning up*. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver spirit kettle; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle has a melon shaped, incurved paneled form. Each segment of the paneled body is embellished with impressive alternating flat engraved designs incorporating quatrefoil motifs accented with bordered leaf ornamentation and a trellis pattern, all encompassed with a matte texture. The upper portion of the body is encircled with a flat engraved undulating border with applied moulded decoration to the scalloped rim. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the exceptional and original hallmarked sterling silver gourd shaped finial, securing to the interior with a wing nut. This fine example of Victorian teaware is fitted with an impressive hallmarked sterling silver scrolling handle ornamented with impressive cast S-scroll, leaf decorated terminals accented with large scrolling leaf decorated sockets in junction with the body. This solid silver kettle has a plain paneled swan necked spout with an impressive scalloped shaped socket accented with a paralleling border. This exceptional kettle detaches from the original hallmarked cast sterling silver Stand, supported by four impressive cast scrolling legs accented with further applied leaf ornamentation. The upper portion of the stand is encircled with impressive cast scrolling leaf ornamentation with a central floral design. The stand incorporates a plain scrolling frame which retains the original spirit burner, reflecting the identical paneled form to the body and cover. The silver spirit kettle Stand is fitted with the original chains and security pegs. An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage George VI English sterling silver four piece tea and coffee set and matching tray; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service consists of a coffee jug, teapot, cream jug and covered sugar bowl, with matching tray. Each piece of the silver tea set has a circular rounded form, embellished with incurved Art Deco segments. The plain surface of each piece has a subtle planished finish. The teapot and coffee jug are fitted with domed hinged covers and the sugar bowl features a push fit cover, ornamented with a continuation of incurved segments; the cover to the sugar bowl indicates the superior quality of the service. The covers are surmounted with carved satin wood and sterling silver topped finials, securing to the interior with a screw fitment. The cover of the coffee jug opens to reveal the original, removable fabric filter/strainer. The teapot and coffee jug are fitted with incurved, angular satin wood handles incorporating impressive tiered thumbpieces; this tiered motif is an iconic style for this Art Deco period. The handles to the cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with sterling silver incurved angular handles with plain elevated thumbpieces, reflecting the style of the teapot and coffee jug handles. The teapot is fitted with a swan necked spout; the coffee jug and cream jug feature truncated spouts. This exceptional vintage tea and coffee set sits to the original and impressive oval rounded Art Deco tea tray. The surface of the tray is plain and features further incurved segments, identical to the body of the tea service. The tray is fitted with two satin wood handpieces accented with concave fluted terminals.
