Its fully hallmarked with the sideways facing Lion for sterling silver, the ship Anchor for Birmingham, the date letter M for 1911, and lastly L&Co for Liberty and Co Between the years of 1899 and 1910 Archibald Knox was one of the principal designers for the London department store Liberty & Co. This enameled silver desk clock is unsigned, so a specific maker cannot be identified, but the case was made in France, and the movement in Switzerland in the period and style of Art Deco. The silver content of the case has not been tested, but is believed to be Continental or .800 or just under .925 sterling, The front of the clock is ornately enameled with raised bright red flowers on each corner with contrasting black and red geometric panels with green accents, which are duplicated on the sides. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Swiss silver and pink enamel miniature boudoir clock; an addition to our silver timepiece collection. This exceptional antique Swiss silver miniature boudoir clock has a plain rectangular form. The surface of this impressive antique clock is embellished with impressive pink guilloche enamel panels, framed with plain broad sterling silver borders. The upper portion of the enamel clock is fitted with an angular carrying handle. The enamel dial of the clock is ornamented with black hour numerals, encircled with plain black chapter ring of minute markers and fitted with shaped pink hands. The face of this timepiece is visible through a circular glass 'window' with a plain applied silver border. The hinged door and opens to reveal the original movement. The clock movement is fitted with an incorporated hinged winding key, featuring a shaped handle with a lobed fingerpiece.
