"Leaf Ocean" is a dramatic cyanotype and woodcut monoprint with contrasting layers and objects abstracted from nature. Black, silver, and white leaves float on top of a watery background. Guy Bardone French, (1927 - ) Guy Bardone Guy Bardone was born in 1927 in Saint-Claude, on of the most beautiful old towns in France. His vocation as a painter was confirmed after admission to the Ecole National Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. Here he trained under Brianchon, Cavailles and Desnoyer.
