The anterior surface of these impressive candle wick trimmer scissors are embellished with cast and applied scrolling leaf ornamentation, accented with a floral rosette to the pivoting hinge.
The domed portion of the silver wick trimmer is further ornamented with gadroon style ornamentation and the plateaued side bears the contemporary bright cut engraved coat of arms depicting an escutcheon of two bendlets, surmounted with a helm and crest of a dove, all above the motto 'Kynd Kynn Knawne Keepe' - Kind Friends Know and Keep.
The two finger pieces are ornamented with reed decoration accented with scrolling motifs to the upper and lower portions.
The posterior surface is plain and unembellished, supported by three elongated rounded feet.
