Léon Desbuissons Prints and Multiples
Léon Desbuissons was born in Paris on May 30, 1870, and also where he died on December 4, 1940, was a French painter and etcher. A student of Charles Albert Waltner, member of the Committee of the Société des aquafortistes and the Fédération des artistes de Paris, he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français and at the Salon des Indépendants of which he was a member, as well as in galleries. Léon was a member of the geological societies of France and Switzerland and of the French Society of Mineralogy. He published The Binn Valley (Valais): Geographical, Geological, Mineralogical and Picturesque Study in 1909 and Atlas of the Diplomatic and Consular Directory in 1924.
