Lillian August Tables

Founded in 1880 by Dutch-born Jean-Henry Jansen, Maison Jansen of Paris is considered the first truly global design firm. With a sophisticated clientele around the world, the house provided design services for European royalty and the redesign of the White House during the Kennedy era. Maison Jansen's style fused traditional European design with trends of the day such as Viennese Secession, Modernism, and Art Deco. Within ten years, the company transformed from designer to designer-manufacturer, with its own showroom gallery that sold antiques in addition to its own collection.
