This Maison Jansen French Directoire style glass top coffee table is of the highest quality! Maison Jansen made some of the world's most chic furniture and designed to replicate the earlier styles of the past and blend them with a more practical design for today. This table is bound to bring a sense of luxury and sophistication into your living room, office or place of choosing and will surely be a conversation starter at your next gathering. The table is in very good vintage used condition with minor light surface scratches and some tarnishing to the base but otherwise in good condition! This is an opportunity to own a piece from one of the most famed design firms and have an extremely rare item in your home or place of choosing.
Maison Jansen was an interior decoration office based out of Paris founded in 1880 by Jean-Henri Jansen. They specialized in mostly Louis XVI style furniture and then progressing and adapting to changes throughout the years until they transitioned into Deco and Mid Century modern in their final years. The firm closed its doors in 1989. The firm was taken over Stephane Boudin in 1920 who continued the legacy and was responsible for decorating the white house with Jackie Kennedy while President JFK was in office.
