The present work of art titled "Urban Abstraction (ripped off posters)" is part of a series of paintings that the artist composed in the 1980s and 1990s inspired by the observation of the urban reality of those years. The artist take the cue from his walks in Florence, both in the center and in the suburbs, and by the observation of billboards and posters scattered throughout the city. The mass of information, colors, messages and words were carried on the canvas with acrylic colors, ideally reconstructing the tears and overlaps of all the information and advertising contained on these huge sheets of paper that invade our cities. The geometric lines are overlaid with jagged lines, overlaps and color dripping and also the choice in the color palette, with different shades of white, gray, rose, orange red and blue helps in rendering the result of the tears and ripped paper. The result is a beautiful multicolored modern abstract canvas, both aesthetically and ethically, with many rich layers of color, texture and expression in which the artist leaves his own message. The painting is housed in a simple modern white lacquer wood frame. Andrea Spinelli...

Birth of an Idea In this work, I explore the moment when something intangible begins to take shape—when an idea moves from feeling into form. I’m interested in that transition point, where clarity hasn’t fully arrived yet, but energy is already present and undeniable. The composition is built through movement—fluid, overlapping gestures that collide and dissolve into one another. Color becomes the primary language here: warm, saturated reds and corals carry intensity and urgency, while cooler tones create space, balance, and breath. For me, this piece is not about a fixed image, but about emergence. The forms remain open, shifting, almost resisting definition, as if they are still in the process of becoming. There is a tension between control and spontaneity—between intention and instinct. I allow the painting to evolve organically, responding to its own rhythm, much like an idea that reveals itself gradually rather than all at once. “Birth of an Idea” is about that first spark—the moment before structure, before logic—when creation exists purely as energy, possibility, and motion. This is one of the first pieces from which the series began. Red Blue Abstract Colorful Acrylic Painting on Canvas ( Rolled) , Birth of an Idea SPECIFICATIONS: - Artist-grade canvas. Irena Ukrainian born lives and works in Los Angeles. STATEMENT I've been drawn by the magical beauty behind fine arts and design since childhood. Having a successful carrier in architecture and design for quite a long time, I began to deal with fine art. I began to look for new ways to express my emotions and feelings. The process of creating art gave me what I wanted - endless ways of expressing myself. During the creating process, I don't limit myself to a specific style or medium therefore my art is mostly represents mixed media. My creating process is based on my emotions and my mood. I'm very spontaneous. Today I might use photography to convey my feelings...tomorrow I might paint to express myself. My work is infused with spirit and energy I felt at the moment I created it. It encourages viewers to interpret it their own way. My art evokes different feelings in the audience depending on their individual experiences and memories. I was and continue to be inspired by the beauty of the world around me and can spent hours to explore it. The rapid world at which is everything changed so fast, I discovered that I will never live in quite the same world. Life unfolds only in moments. Capturing moments that are full of emotion is the key to my art.
