Ikebana design Romano Saccani Architetti Associati is a collection of “classic” inspiration made up of single pendants grouped in ever-changing scenographic settings. Drawing from the sumptuous and varied decorative sample of the classic chandelier of traditional Muranese arms, the arm of floral inspiration was chosen and identified as a representative element, blown and hand-washed by the skilled Venetian craftsmen. We have taken from a historic chandelier the single bend arm with apical cup to highlight it by suspending it vertically and thus elevating it to an emblem of the expressive virtuosity of the master glassmakers. Blossom moves away from the shapes of the traditional Venetian chandelier to embrace the techniques and the decorations typical of the Murano glass objects. It is a piece of art, made with passion an creativity by our masters glass-worker. This is an object that not only enlighten spaces, but also decorate them. Thanks to its shapes and the techniques used to decorate the glass, Blossom is a lively, colorful collection, suit for many different contemporary spaces. The structure is neutral, without any ornament, the dynamism given by the decorative elements fixed on the structure. On the rectangular structure some blown glass twisted arms have been fixed, these are lively elements that animate the surrounding space. The Murano blown glass suspension Galactic has been designed with the aim of subverting the tradition and re-think of new decorative lighting solution. This lighting work is composed by irregular and asymmetric elements, but overall, it is characterized by an harmonic design. The result is a unique and spectacular suspension lamp, that can be inserted in various settings. This lighting creation consists of a series of tubular elements in hand-blown glass which are exclusively handmade by skilled glass masters; the technique which has been used to decorate the surface of these elements is called rigamenà (a typical Venetian production technique which allows to create thin ribs on the surface of glass). In our catalogue, Galactic is proposed in a version made using many different golden shades: the glass part is made by melting gold leaf inside the vitreous mass, while the metallic band which contains all the glass elements is in brushed gold. Each detail has been done with accuracy, and the finishing effects makes the whole lighting works dynamic and vibrant.
