The Projecteur was designed by¬†Le Corbusier for the Chandigarh High Court in India in 1954. The body of the light is composed of painted aluminium, making this industrial design very light in weight. It has a curved glass diffuser with a sandblasted inner part. The screws and smaller metal parts are black chromed. Charles-douard Jeanneret-Gris otherwise known as Le Corbusier, was a Swiss architect, artist, designer, urban planner and writer, best known for his achievements in modern architecture.¬†His most important architectural works include Villa Savoye in Poissy (1929-1931), Unit Habitation in Marseille (1947-1952), the city of Chandigarh in India (1954) and Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp (1955).
