This snowy landscape has a lot of charm and evocative power, it is a rare theme in Paul Lecomte's work, although it is well known in the work of other impressionist painters, such as Monet of course.
We can see the artist's sense of composition as he masterfully captures the inn on the left and the cart disappearing into the horizon on the road.
Paul Lecomte was born in Paris on April 15, 1842. He was a painter of landscapes and coastal scenes.
He is considered as one of the last quality representatives from the Barbizon School.
