He painted covers for Women’s Home Companion and The Saturday Evening Post, and at the same time, he worked in the art department of Paramount Studios. At the time of this publication, a young woman’s graduation from college was a rare accomplishment, and the opportunities for employment that required a college diploma, were even rarer.
