Risaku Suzuki

b. 1963

Risaku Suzuki was born in 1963 in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, and now lives and works in Tokyo. He is well known for his dedicated series of pictures from Kumano, Wakayama Prefecture, one of Japan's most sacred places and the home of Suzuki. One of Japan's most prominent photographers, Suzuki presents unmistakably Japanese subjects - like cherry blossoms and snow, which are both timeless and refreshingly new.
