Robert Marc (b.1943-d.1999) On November 17 2020 a larger painting sold for over $44,000. He has an auction high over $153,000. Original abstract painting. Measures: 18.5" x 22". Frame 31.5" x 38". Good vintage condition. A rare find! Robert Marc was born in 1943 in Auxerre, France. Marc spent his childhood in Switzerland but returned to France as a young man. He discovered painting is not in school, but in museums; however he was determined to attend art school. Marc was especially inspired by Malevich and Rodchenko. During the 1960s, Marc lived in Paris and spent his time working quietly in the French countryside. Marc had his first solo exhibition in Toulouse in 1998. In the same year, he exhibited in New York.
