Ryan Snow is an environmental artist creating visual meditations through abstract painting, analog photography and digital media. His field process explores the tranquility of mind achieved by observing nature, documenting climate signals, collecting earth pigments and practicing meditation. Snow’s fine arts studio practice focuses on the interpretation of these peak mind moments to create minimalist artwork informed by Earth's natural processes, physical and emotional energy flows and extensive scientific/policy research of anthropogenic impacts to the biosphere. Snow is a fine arts graduate of U.C. Santa Cruz, where he received his Bachelor’s degree and was the recipient of the Irwin Scholarship award.
