A native New Yorker, Rosenthal moved to Paris after graduating from Harvard and has lived in the city for most of his adult life. He experimented in scriptwriting and then needlepoint, opening a shop where he experimented with unusually coloured yarns. It's clientele included designers from Herme`s and Valentino. This large antique silver plated serving tray is signed by an unknown maker and presumed to have originated from England and dating to approximately 1920 and done in a Victorian style. The outside rim is decorated with a leaf and flower motif and accented by the diamond pierced sides, and scroll worked handles.
