Sheila Querre was born in England in 1931 and studied art at the central School Saint Martins. She later moved to France near Bordeaux where she loved gardening and above all cultivate her passion: to paint landscapes. Querre paints in oil from sketches and notes made during walks near her home. Her work expresses all the emotions that human beings can feel in front of nature. Through the technique of sfumato, she fuses trees with clouds, clouds with fields, fields with water and all this in a dialogue of colors, brushstrokes, solitude, sensitivity and extreme delicacy. The masters of Romanticism (Turner, Constable) as well as masters of Impressionism (Monet) would welcome her with enthusiasm among their own. Querre has exhibited in England, France, Belgium and among her collectors is the French State.
