Sofía Cristina Jiménez is a Madrid-based visual artist whose pictorial practice explores the emotional relationship between human beings, the animal world, and the natural environment. After more than a decade working in the luxury fashion industry, she redirected her career toward professional artistic practice in 2019. Her work constructs visual imaginaries where magical realism and surrealism converge, addressing contemporary concerns through a clear, symbolic, and formally refined visual language.
Her work has been presented at contemporary art fairs such as Art Madrid and JustMad, as well as in solo exhibitions in Madrid, and is held in permanent collections including Royal Caribbean and the Museo Cromática (Toledo). Through series such as Aire and Naturaleza Plástica, she investigates the friction between the natural, the artificial, and the human, developing scenes that encourage sensitive reflection on environmental impact and interspecies relationships while avoiding direct confrontation and prioritizing an accessible visual experience.
