Sofía Cristina Jiménez is a Madrid-based visual artist whose pictorial practice explores the emotional relationship between human beings, the animal world, and the natural environment. After more than a decade working in the luxury fashion industry, she redirected her career toward professional artistic practice in 2019. Her work constructs visual imaginaries where magical realism and surrealism converge, addressing contemporary concerns through a clear, symbolic, and formally refined visual language.
Her work has been presented at contemporary art fairs such as Art Madrid and JustMad, as well as in solo exhibitions in Madrid, and is held in permanent collections including Royal Caribbean and the Museo Cromática (Toledo). Through series such as Aire and Naturaleza Plástica, she investigates the friction between the natural, the artificial, and the human, developing scenes that encourage sensitive reflection on environmental impact and interspecies relationships while avoiding direct confrontation and prioritizing an accessible visual experience.

Layers of white clouds establish depth and movement while the saturated blue sky provides a powerful chromatic field that reinforces the sensation of elevation and lightness. Rather than presenting a narrative scene, the painting captures a suspended moment between reality and imagination. Executed in acrylic on Belgian linen, the work combines precise rendering of reflective surfaces with atmospheric painterly passages. Artist Bio: Damien Hirst is a British Conceptual artist known for his controversial take on beauty and found-art objects. Along with Liam Gillick, Tracey Emin, and Sarah Lucas, Hirst was part of the Young British Artists movement that rose to prominence in the early 1990s. “I have always been aware that you have to get people listening before you can change their minds,” he reflected. “Any artist's big fear is being ignored, so if you get debate, that's great.” Born on June 7, 1965 in Bristol, United Kingdom, Hirst was raised in Leeds. As a student at Goldsmiths College in London, his work caught the eye of the collector and gallerist Charles Saatchi, who became an early patron. Hirst’s The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (1991)—a large vitrine containing an Australian tiger shark suspended in formaldehyde—was financed by Saatchi and helped to launch the artist’s career. Hirst went on to win the coveted Turner Prize in 1995.
