Antique Arts & Crafts Alabaster & Brass w. Swallow Birds Pendant / Light Fixture
Located in Lisse, NL
Stunning mineral stone pendant with wonderful colors in a unique brass frame. The designer and artist who created this Arts & Crafts work of lighting art must have been inspired by the wonderful colors that mother nature has to offer in the late afternoons and evenings in the summer. Especially the copper red light that the sun creates when disappearing under the horizon seems the source of inspiration for this artist. With the colors in this particular alabaster shade AND in the brass 'frame' corresponding with the marvelous colors at sundown this one of a kind pendant really is a joy to own and to look at. In our experience it is also at that time of day that swallows are the most active. Just like the embossed swallows in this shade we too have seen them circling above and around a swimming pool in the Canary Islands. By the way, the workmanship that has gone into hand-crafting this remarkable chandelier is of a level that you don't find anymore in this day and age. Never mind the amount of time it must have taken to first hand-draw and then completely hand-craft this gem. We have said it many times before and we will say it again here: both with the light switched on and off, the colors in this alabaster shade are much warmer and much more beautiful than in our photos. You can take our word for it. Because of the many colors and 'patches' one could also say that this pendant (when looking at it from different sides and angles) has many faces. That too is the beauty of surrounding yourself with truly natural materials. Together with the hand hammered (or embossed) swallows this alabaster shade pendant...

Rare Art Deco Patinated Copper Pendant Chandelier, Eagle Relief and Etched Glass
Located in Lisse, NL
Copper and glass Arts & Crafts chandelier with original fine copper 'chain' & original canopy. With early 20th century lighting being one of our specialities, finding this rare and extraordinary pendant more than made our day. This rare and striking Art Deco pendant chandelier is a masterful example of early 1900 decorative arts, crafted in richly patinated copper with an extraordinary high-relief depiction of a four eagles with outstretched wings, the eagles imbue the piece with a strong sense of symmetry, motion, and symbolic presence. The sculptural detailing reflects the bold aesthetics of Art Deco, where natural motifs were often rendered in rich, luxurious materials. Suspended from four decorative chains that attach to a domed ceiling canopy, the chandelier features a central frosted glass globe intricately etched with floral motifs, surrounded by four smaller rounded bulbs subtly integrated into the copper body. This unique antique pendant light fixture will bring the kind of pure class and beauty that you don't find anymore in this day and age. Thanks to the hook inside the copper canopy, mounting this stylish and rare ceiling lamp is child's play. Mind you, this all handcrafted fixture from the earliest years of the 1900s will arrive rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the country where it will go to so it will definitely be ready for you to use and enjoy. Symbolism of the Eagle in Art Deco: The eagle has been a potent symbol across cultures .. representing strength, clarity of vision, independence, and power. In the Art Deco period, its use reflected a fascination with bold, heroic forms and classical symbolism reimagined through modern geometry. The presence of four eagles, facing outward on each side, adds an architectural rhythm and emphasizes watchfulness and balanc .. making this chandelier not just a source of light, but a profound sculptural object. Whether placed in a grand hallway, above a dining table, or in a design-forward living space, this chandelier commands attention and speaks to both artistic heritage and timeless taste. Our fair price for this rare Arts and Crafts ceiling light even includes perfect packing and also free delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 5 days. No matter where you live on our beautiful planet. Maximum height x diameter: 26 x 20.4 inches. *Excellent vintage condition. The copper exhibits a rich, natural patina with beautiful oxidation. The glass shade is intact, free from cracks or chips. We are driven by a passion for uniqueness, timeless, quality, stylish design, and the enduring craftsmanship of the past. Unique Large Arts & Crafts Brass Pendant Light with Glass Mosaic Shades 1910
Located in Lisse, NL
Good size, marvelous design and truly stylish inlaid 'chunky glass' ceiling fixture. With early 20th century light fixtures being one of our specialities, finding a unique Arts and Crafts pendant always makes our heart jump. Every designer knows that getting a truly striking design on paper is very difficult, but finding the right artisan to perfectly execute it is at least as big of a challenge. In this case the maker must have been a highly skilled craftsman, because the execution and the finish of this truly beautiful pendant are simply marvelous. What makes this hand-crafted light fixture extra special are ofcourse the inlaid and large chunks of transparent glass combined with large and smaller stained glass chunks in beautiful amber color. Both with the light switched on and off, all these uniquely shaped pieces of glass make this pendant a work of art on your ceiling. Over the many decades the color (or patina) has made this light even more beautiful and this elegant design after more than 100 years still is as appealing as the day it was made. This perfect size pendant survived two world wars and for all the crude and organical looking glass 'chunks' to still be in there AND for this light to still be this pretty and complete is like an ode to both the maker and to this lights' former owners. They clearly understood what it takes to both create and take care of something that is truly beautiful. If you have an Arts and Crafts house or if you are a collector of this sophisticated, early 20th century style then this unique pendant could be gracing your living space soon. We think it will look great in the living room of an apartment or in a hallway. No matter where you decide to use it, this superb quality crafted and excellent condition light brings class and style in your home like no modern light fixture ever could.. If you like this one of a kind light as much as we do and if you already have a space in mind for it then maybe you should be the next custodian(s). This rare light also is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and our price even includes perfect packing and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days. Current height x diameter: 40 x 28 inches. Height without the rod and canopy: 15 inches. Diameter of the canopy: 5 Inches. We can also shorten the height to one that will be perfect for you. We are driven by a passion for uniqueness, timeless, quality, stylish design, and the enduring craftsmanship of the past. Every purchase is carefully and thoughtfully packed — and we look forward to serving you (again). To explore all our 1000+ listings, simply click the button labeled 'View All From Seller'.
