The Upsala-Ekeby Vase is a black and green-glazed earthenware piece from Sweden, originating from the 1940s. All items ship from High Point, North Carolina.  

A rare trio from the ‘Mangania’ series, designed by Lillemor Mannerheim and produced by Gefle for Upsala-Ekeby in 1955. Each piece is made of finely crafted stoneware with Mannerheim’s signature satin matte black glaze, a finish that became her hallmark. Her use of the deep black glaze, developed during her Gefle years, became her artistic signature and remains a defining feature of postwar Scandinavian ceramic design.
