This impressive antique Edwardian sterling silver teapot has been modelled in the Queen Anne style onto an oval collet foot. The lower portion of this fine teapot is embellished with batwing style embossed fluted decoration accented with subtly elevated rounded projections. The upper portion of the body is encircled with a narrow band reflecting the same fluted decoration, all in a swirl design. This fine antique George V sterling silver teapot has a plain panelled octagonal form onto a spreading stepped octagonal collet style foot, all in the Queen Anne style. The surface of the Queen Anne teapot is plain and unembellished. This antique teapot retains the original hinged hallmarked domed panelled cover surmounted with an impressive sterling silver urn style finial. This fine Queen Anne sterling silver teapot is fitted with the original shaped carved painted wood handle with a carved scroll style thumbpiece, scrolling lower terminal and plain sterling silver sockets. Rare, very early George I period silver brandy/spirits warmer, Joseph Clare I, London, 1714. Wonderful, historically interesting 308 years barware piece. Classic circular tapering form with a shaped base, heavy solid silver with a beautifully turned oak handle. Fully hallmarked on the side of the body Period initials on the bottom of base N E M Measurements: 3.32 inches in diameter, 5.25 inches to the to of handle, 2.13 inches height of vessel. 1714 was the year George I ascended the throne, making this an interesting, very early piece of Georgian silver. Excellent piece in very good condition commensurate with age. Beautiful old patina on the silver and the fine oak handle.
