Raised on its original bun feet, the quality of this item is firmly attributed to furniture makers Gillows of Lancaster. The rectangular form with hinged lid opening to reveal its original yellow silk lined interior, complete with lift out sectional tray. This exquisite casket is raised on four generous beaded bun supports. Condition: Good condition with nice patination, no losses to brass inlays. Lock is present and working, lacking key. Some losses to edgings of lift-out tray, overall a wonderful item in good condition. Height: (entire closed) 5.5" (14cm). Width: (at front) 10” (25.5cm). Depth: 7.25” (18.5cm).
