Pendulum Clock Bronze & Marble Representing Virgin Child & St John the Baptist

About the Item

Very beautiful fireplace clock in marble, patinated and gilded bronze representing the Virgin Mary sitting on a rock holding the infant Jesus in her arms, with at their side st John the Baptist child holding his crosier. Beautiful bronze patina, beautiful treatment of the faces. The base of the rococo-patterned turquoise terrace, such as volutes and shells, in golden rule has in its center a reserve in which is inserted a patinated bronze plate representing a scene of the Escape in Egypt. On the enameled dial with Roman numeral the name of the watchmaker is partly erased. The mechanism is in working order and has its key and pendulum.
