Important Louis XV style gilded bronze sconce with red fabric, after Jacques Caffieri. The top presents a quiver filled with arrows and trellis. It is decorated with flowers, trumpets, peonies and daisies. The scrolls in rocaille style are decorated with a putti. The white enamel dial has Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes and is protected by a curved glass. Jacques Caffieri (1678-1755) was a French bronze founder and chaser.
